DM agent

The DM agent is an AI assistant that answers messages in your Instagram inbox: questions, photos, voice notes, shared reels, story replies and mentions. It answers in the voice you describe and sells only from your catalogue.

#Create an agent

1. Open Agent from the menu and choose New agent.
2. Write its instruction: who you are, what you sell, how to talk. Start from a template, or use Improve with AI to tighten what you wrote.
3. Choose how it treats each kind of message (below).
4. Test it in the chat on the right, then activate it. One agent can be active per Instagram account.

#Kinds of messages

For each kind of message you choose a policy: the AI answers, a fixed reply is sent, or it is ignored.

Kinds include text, photos, voice notes (transcribed first), videos, files, shared posts and reels, story replies, story mentions, reactions and likes.

#Actions

The agent can end a reply with an action, for example handing the conversation to a person. When it hands over, you get an email and the conversation is marked for a human until you hand it back.

#Your catalogue

Open Catalogue to add products, services and offers. The agent only recommends what's in this list, so it never invents an offer.

#Conversations

The Conversations panel lists everyone the agent is talking to. You can take a conversation over yourself or give it back to the agent at any time.

#How it fits with funnels

Taps on funnel buttons and typed answers to them go to the funnel first. Everything else in the inbox, including messages that have nothing to do with a comment, goes to the active agent.
